I have collected the images shared around the net of the chat group on signal the chief editor of The Atlantic was invited to by mistake. Top officials of the Trump regime shared top secret info using a mobile phone app that is not approved for usage.
Steve Witkoff was in Moscow at the time when he was added to the group chat. Signal in itself is a “safe” service that uses encryption. But all it takes is one bug or security flaw in one of the other apps on the phone. Or a security flaw in the phones operating system.
It can be seen as guaranteed that Russia tried to gain access to his phone. If they succeeded no one knows. If they did it won’t help no matter how encrypted the end to end traffic is in Signal.
This is among the worst security issues in modern history. Everyone that was on the chat is liable as accomplices since they did not report it/stop it. It is clearly against the laws in the US. It requires all communications of this character to take place on graded platforms.
To add to the severity the group started with a 7 day window before messages get deleted from the phones. Later that was changed to 4 weeks.
This is an issue on many levels. It lets the information be stored openly on the members phones for 1 and later 4 weeks.
Secondly one of the very reasons it’s required to use graded systems is that it’s supposed to be documented.
The way they are doing this is guaranteed not limited to this communication but is widespread used. And they do it to avoid accountability and having to share info in case of a subpoena.
Some say that they have been trained in doing it this way during Project 2025 communication exercises. I don’t doubt that for a second.
It’s my opinion that not just Waltz must be removed from his position but the entire lot. They need to be held accountable for lying while trying to deny information was shared. Even failing to report the usage of an unauthorized software to share graded material is a crime.
